Graphite digestion instrument is one of the direct, effective and economical sample pretreatment methods for elemental analysis. The application of new digestion technology has the advantages of rapid temperature rise, program control, complete digestion, and temperature balance. Graphite digestion is often used in sample pretreatment of atomic absorption, atomic fluorescence, ICP, ICP-MS, polarography, etc.
Precautions for digestion of soil, ore and environmental samples:
Such samples are often difficult to digest, and dangerous reagents such as perchloric acid and hydrofluoric acid need to be added during the digestion process, and the operation needs to be cautious.
If perchloric acid is used to digest samples, it is forbidden to use perchloric acid to directly digest organic matter, reducing agents, etc., as there will be a risk of explosion.
If hydrofluoric acid is used to digest samples, polytetrafluoroethylene tubes must be used for digestion tubes.
Recommended digestion temperature:
Set the temperature at 100 to 120°C and digest for 30 minutes, at which time reddish-brown smoke will be produced;
Raise the temperature to 120 to 150°C and digest for 30 minutes. At this time, there will be a lot of reddish-brown smoke;
Raise the temperature to 180-210°C and digest for one hour, or until the reddish-brown smoke fades and white smoke emerges.
Digest until the solution is less than 1ml, remove and cool, transfer to constant volume.
